Who we are
Successful Christian Self-Publishing (successfulchristianselfpublishing.com) is run by Hallee and Gregg Bridgeman. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. If you have a question about your information, please reach us through our Contact Us page.
Newsletter
When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it). We use it only to send you the newsletter class you signed up for, our weekly blog digest, and occasional news about our classes. We never sell or rent your address.
Our subscriber list is stored on this website using the MailPoet plugin, and our emails are delivered by the MailPoet Sending Service. MailPoet may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked so we can tell which posts are helpful. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list at any time.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser information to help catch spam. Your email address is never shown publicly. Comments and their details are kept so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
Contact form
If you write to us through the Contact Us form, we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply. We don’t add you to the newsletter unless you ask.
Analytics and security
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which posts they read. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you view. We look only at totals, not at individual visitors. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
To protect the site from hacking and spam, our security tools (Wordfence and Sucuri) log visitors’ IP addresses and block suspicious activity. These logs are used only for security.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to remember your details if you choose to when commenting, to keep site administrators logged in, and for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work for reading.
Embedded content
Some posts include videos from YouTube and Bible verse previews from RefTagger (Faithlife). Embedded content behaves as if you visited those sites directly, and they may collect data and set cookies under their own privacy policies.
Who we share your information with
Only the services named above, and only so they can do their job for this site. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email. If you would like to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, including comments, send us a note through the Contact Us page and we will take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
